1. Acceptance
These terms are an agreement between you and allumi Inc. (incorporation in progress), the provider of allumi. By creating an account or using any of the allumi apps, you accept them. If you do not agree, do not use allumi.
The privacy policy is part of these terms. It says what data allumi collects and what happens to it.
2. What allumi is
allumi is a personal life operating system. It collects signals you choose to connect (your computer and phone activity, your calendar, your meals), shows them back to you in one place, and gives you an AI you can talk to about them. The current version is an alpha, open to a small group.
3. Alpha software
You are using an early version. In practice that means:
- Things break. Features appear, change and disappear. A sync may fail, an answer may be wrong, a chart may be off.
- Data may need to be migrated as the platform changes. We will try to carry everything over, but we cannot promise it. Keep anything you cannot lose somewhere else as well.
- The service may be unavailable without notice, for hours or longer.
- allumi is offered without fitness for any particular purpose. Do not rely on it for anything that matters if it is wrong or missing.
allumi is not a medical device and gives no medical advice. Nutrient estimates, activity figures and anything the AI says about your health are rough indications, not diagnoses. Talk to a doctor for health decisions.
4. Who may use it
You must be at least 16 years old and able to enter into a contract where you live. You may only use allumi on devices you own or are allowed to monitor, and only to track your own activity. Do not install the sensors on someone else’s computer or phone.
5. Your account
- Give us accurate details and keep them current.
- Keep your password and your device keys to yourself. Anything done through your account counts as done by you until you tell us the account was compromised.
- One account per person. Do not share accounts or transfer yours to someone else.
- Tell us at once if you believe someone else has access.
6. Acceptable use
Do not use allumi to:
- break any law, or infringe anyone's rights, including their privacy;
- monitor another person, with or without their knowledge;
- upload content that is illegal, harmful or that you have no right to upload;
- attack, probe or overload our systems, or try to get around access controls;
- send spam or automated traffic through the service;
- resell, rent or offer allumi to others as a service.
If you find a security problem, tell us at fini@allumi.ai before you tell anyone else. We will not pursue good-faith research.
7. Licence and restrictions
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the allumi apps and to use the service, for your own non-commercial use, for as long as these terms are in force.
You may not:
- reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the apps, or try to derive their source code, except where the law allows it regardless of this clause;
- copy, modify, distribute, sell or lease any part of the service or the apps;
- scrape the service or extract data from it with automated tools, other than your own data through the ways we provide;
- use allumi's output, the service or any data obtained from it to train, develop or improve a competing AI model or service;
- remove or obscure any notice of ownership.
The allumi software, design and brand belong to allumi Inc. (incorporation in progress) or its licensors. All rights not expressly granted here are reserved.
8. Your data
Everything you put into allumi and everything the sensors collect from your devices is yours. We process it only to run the service for you, as described in the privacy policy. We do not train AI models on it. The AI’s answers about your life are yours to use as you like.
If you send us feedback or ideas, you let us use them to improve allumi without owing you anything. You keep the right to use them yourself.
9. Price
allumi is free during the alpha. If paid plans ever come, these terms will be updated first and you will be told.
10. No warranty
allumi is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied. In particular we make no promise that it is accurate, reliable, uninterrupted, secure, error-free or fit for a particular purpose. Section 3 says the same in plain words.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of allumi or your inability to use it. Because allumi is free, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to CHF 100.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for intent, gross negligence, or where the law does not allow it to be limited.
12. Ending the agreement
You can stop using allumi at any time and ask us to delete your account at fini@allumi.ai. We can suspend or close your account if you break these terms, or close the alpha altogether. If we close the service, we will give you at least 30 days’ notice and a way to get your data out.
13. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms as the product changes. For a material change we email account holders at least 14 days before it takes effect and update the date at the top of this page. If you keep using allumi after that date, the new terms apply. If you do not agree, stop using the service and ask us to delete your account.
14. Governing law
Until the registration is complete, these terms are governed by the laws of Switzerland and disputes are handled by the courts of Zürich. Mandatory consumer protection rules of the country you live in are not affected.
